Liz Dial is a filmmaker, photographer, writer, and performer based in Birmingham, Alabama.
In her work as a writer, producer, and repertory cast member of comedy brand It’s a Southern Thing, Liz wrote, produced, directed, and starred in dozens of sketches, unscripted videos, and livestreams centered around the humor of life in the South.
Liz is the creator, show runner, and co-director of the series The Real Church Ladies of Burndale, a Real Housewives parody following the melodramatic lives of women in a Southern evangelical church.
Liz considers herself an “artistic chameleon” and uses a variety of tools to express her creativity. Professionally, she has worked as a filmmaker, writer, graphic designer, photographer, videographer, illustrator, cartoonist, and performer—whatever the project calls for, she loves the challenge of learning and mastering a new tool or technique.
Liz is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College.
